Ben's WX Summary - Updated: Friday @ 03:03pm
We still have that weak upper level low in the area with enough instability for some afternoon clouds, even a few thunderstorms have fired up over LA County and to our west, but thunderstorms are less likely in our area. Expect partly cloudy skies for the remainder of the afternoon with a few sprinkles possible as highs top out in the lower 50s, east winds 5-10 mph. Clearing and cool tonight with light winds as lows drop into the 20s Fair and a little warmer this weekend under weak high pressure as highs reach the mid-50s with light and variable winds. We're looking at a pattern change next week that could finally bring some cold and unsettled weather back into the area. Currently, Monday looks pleasant with highs in the 50s, west winds increasing 10-20 mph during the afternoon. The first storm should roll into the area on Tuesday with clouds and winds increasing, cooler as highs drop into the 40s. Showers are forecast to develop later Tuesday with snow showers possible into Wednesday. This system will be colder with no real tap into an atmospheric river, which should help drive the snow level down to around 5,000 feet. Accumulations look relatively light, but at least a few inches are possible, this is subject to change as we get closer! Another, potentially stronger storm could arrive later in the week or next weekend, through it's still too far out for a lot of details.
